Subject: The 2007 - 2008 Soccer Season has been very successful for the U-21 Men's Team. Their strong determination and dedication has been inspired by the loss of a valuable teammate and close friend, David Grochowski. In October the team lost David to a motor vehicle accident which left a void on the field. However, David's older brother John rejoined the team and has been a great leader and support for these young men. Gordie Clark is very proud to coach this great group of young men and appreciates their hard work and fun approach to the game.
This is only their second year playing together and they battled their way through the season finishing two points out of first place in their league. Along the road to the League Cup Finals the team beat Coquitlam Metro Ford in the quarter finals with a score of 4-3 in overtime. Then in the semi-finals they beat PoCo Rovers 3-0. After a hard fought battle in the League Cup finals game they came second to Port Moody Gunners 2-1 in overtime. They have also qualified for Provincial Play Offs and their first draw is home against Victoria, Gordon Head - Sunday April 13, 2:00 pm kick off - South Aldergrove East.
